I funny summary and reflecting on the genre

         I Funny by James Patterson





    In this book I Funny it's about a boy named Jamie Grimm . Who his family tell him to sign up for comedy a contest that is in New York because he is very good at telling jokes and being funny. Jamie signs up for this contest and he wins and his family are happy for him. His step brother Stevie starts a rumor that Jamie won because he was in a wheelchair. So he goes on and enters another contest and he wins again this time Jamie tells the truth about what Happened that he is in a wheel chair. He starts by telling that his family was driving on a wet road when a truck hit the families car and that crash killed everybody, but him he became paralyzed. This is why he got stuck living with his step parents. His uncle Frank encouraged him to become the greatest Kid Comic. I think that this book is a great book because it shows that anybody can live up to their dreams no matter what their handicap may be if you put your mind to doing what you love. 

     This book I Funny is a prologue fiction. Things that I like about this book is that while I was reading it I would laugh at how funny the story was. I also liked that when he finally told the reason why he was in a wheelchair that people didn't look at him differently. What I didn't like was that his own family would try to put him down by making him look bad because he was in a wheelchair. I have never read this book before, but I would definitely read it again and probably recommend it to others. As for the character in this story I did like him because he was so funny and he knew how to make jokes. My favorite Chapter is 32 in this chapter Jammie Grimm meets a mystery girl that makes him nervous. I think he has a crush on her.

     The conflict from I Funny is that people tend to think that because you have a disability means that you can't do something great. People don't know your reason why or what happened that is why people should never judge others especially not knowing what really happened to the person or what they might be feeling. His step brother was trying to put him down and make him feel bad and figured if he spreads that ugly rumor "That he won because he's in a wheel chair " That people would look at him different because he was in a wheel chair, but he goes on and proves that he is the Greatest Kid Comic. 







   

call of duty

             In the article Call of Duty there is a soldier and his dog they were in Afghanistan. Marine Corporal Jose Armenta and his dog Zenit both were on duty searching for IED's after looking all day for them Zenit finally found an IED and Marine Corporal Armenta said in a low voice "Yes" to keep Zenit calm. Then as the time passed they would train at night to make Zenit stronger and making sure that he is getting the help he needs to be well trained in staying calm when finding IED or when trouble comes they're way. In 2011 While walking Marine Corporal Jose Armenta accidentally stepped on a IED causing an explosion that made Marine Corporal Jose be blasted 20ft away and right beside him was Zenit staying with him while he was being cared for. A helicopter came and flew them away to a hospital. He then awoke finding that both his legs were amputated. He then was release and sent home to his wife and family. Later after recovering he Marine Corporal requested that Zenit be retired and returned to him. After a year they finally reunited and Marine Corporal Jose finally got to keep Zenit and they both retired.

     My thoughts on this article was that this article was a very sad one knowing that Marine Corporal Jose Armenta was badly injured and him having to retire at such a young age and him having to lose his legs and not being able to walk and do things normally.  The good thing about this article that there is still happiness and greatness in this article. Marine Corporal Jose Armenta was given prosthetic legs and he was able to walk tall and proud for his Country. He later was joined with his Marine Partner Zenit his dog. My conflict was that I did not like that Marine Corporal Jose Armenta has to wait to be joined with Zenit for a whole entire year.

Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane summary

   Edward the rabbit doll and his owner a young girl Abilene. There is a little girl who loved her doll and treated him with a lot of love and  care and then one day Abilene went on a cruise and dropped him in the ocean on accident. The story takes place in a little house on Egypt Street. She lost her doll in the Spring time. She lost her doll during a cruise vacation as she was playing pretend flying on the edge of the ships rails when she accidentally  dropped her doll into the ocean. Abeilene felt so sad and lost  that her doll Edward the rabbit was lost  to the Ocean waters her heart was  broken.

After reading this story my reaction was that it is good to know that someone homeless has so much happiness  even though he knows that he was homeless. We were learning about how many people were homeless and what they did to survive  so what they did was find an abandoned house and live in a house just to stay out of trouble and to stay out of the rain and make at least some food. What i found interesting was that this old man that was homeless could be so kind to others even though he had no money food and lived his life in a abandoned building. What i found interesting  was that he had so much happiness in him and was willing to find another house up west to live there. Greg changed throughout the story was because when he saw Lemon Brown's condition being homeless and all  he realized to be happy that he has a home a family that loves him  and take a look at how many people that are homeless.

       In my book Diary  of a Wimpy Kid  it is about a boy named Greg and him being in his mom's stomach before he was born and then once he was born he was given his brother Roderick's  pacifier  and then when his mom had Manny he was  given Greg's Pacifier and so after his life goes on he starts school and always got a phone so then when he gets to 7th grade he has a crush on a girl named holly   and as he grows older he starts getting friend but then the thing is his brother Roderick always Tortures him.



            Greg is funny , nice , quiet ,goofy and respectful the reasons why he is funny, nice,quiet, goofy and respectful is because he has a lot of great friends  he is quiet because sometimes in class they don't allow talking in class even when it is a test or a  quiz he is goofy because sometimes the things he says are funny. and the reason he is respectful is because he never talks back to people he is always fully of happiness and joy but he is also full of happiness is also because he has a family that helps and supports him along with his little brother manny.

 The name of my book I chose to read is The Chronicles of NARNIA The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. This book takes place in a wardrobe in this house in London in the middle of the country. There lived a professor and his three servants and Lucy, Susan, Peter and Edmund. Lucy, Susan, Peter and Edmund's mother sent them to London because of the war of the air-raids. I've learned that this book was written for a girl by the name of Lucy Barfield and it is a fairy tale C.S. Lewis was Lucy's Grandfather he wrote her a letter telling her that he wrote this book for her.

       The point of view of my book The Chronicles of NARNIA The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe  is  2nd person and i know that because the author uses you and your  and int he book Edmund is all like   your such a liar that never happened  and everyone turned around and looked at him in  a mad face because he made Lucy cry and not want to come out of the room that has the wardrobe in it
